Platform Overview

What Fleetwise is, how the core workflow fits together, and where to go next.

What Fleetwise Is

Fleetwise is a system of record for physical validation fleets. It gives engineering and fleet teams a single platform to manage vehicles, configurations, requests, allocations, and usage history — replacing fragmented spreadsheets and inbox-based coordination.

If you run prototype or pre-production programs, Fleetwise helps you answer questions like:

Availability

Which vehicles are available for this test window?

Spec Matching

Which vehicles match the required specs and attributes?

Audit Trail

What changed, who changed it, and when?

Risk Visibility

Which requests are at risk due to clashes or breakdowns?

Core Capabilities

Fleetwise covers the full lifecycle from request intake through allocation, monitoring, and reporting.

Request Management

Capture requirements — market, spec codes, attributes, dates — in a structured workflow

Allocation and Scheduling

Assign vehicles to requests using timeline views and bulk processing

AI-Powered Matching

Get ranked vehicle recommendations based on availability and requirements

Oscar (AI Assistant)

Ask natural-language questions about fleet state and platform usage

Fleet Analytics

Track utilization, spot bottlenecks, and monitor delivery performance

Clash Detection and Notifications

Detect overlapping demand early and keep stakeholders aligned as statuses change

How It Works

Fleetwise connects request intake, allocation decisions, and monitoring in one continuous flow.

Submit a Request

Engineers/Fleet Users submit a request with essential and preferred requirements — spec codes, attributes, dates, and priority. See Creating a Request.

Review and Recommend

Fleet coordinators review incoming requests and evaluate vehicle recommendations. See Managing Requests.

Confirm Allocation

The coordinator confirms the allocation. The vehicle is assigned and tracked through execution. See Allocation Lifecycle.

Monitor and Adjust

Status changes, conflicts, and disruptions surface in real time through the schedule view and notifications. See Schedule View.

Report and Learn

Analytics and usage history inform future planning and help identify opportunities to improve throughput.

What Fleetwise Is Not

Scope

Fleetwise is purpose-built for engineering validation fleets:

  • It is not a commercial logistics fleet tracker.
  • It is not a PLM replacement.
  • It is not a raw test data store.
  • It is not generic project management software.

It operates at the physical operations layer — where vehicle availability, technical fit, and program timelines intersect.
